This was done by connecting the G1 MP3 Player to my PC using the USB-C cable, activating "Developer Options" under Settings, turning on "USB Debugging" and then using an ADB app install commands on my PC to push the APK files and automatically install them on the G1 MP3 Player won't work So, similar to the Q5 and the M4, you're pretty much stuck with the apps that are pre-loaded by default on the G1 MP3 Player. New apps can't be installed and current apps can't up updated. I don't understand why the manufacturers for all of these MP3 Players choose to not only develop these MP3 Player using old versions of the Android OS, but they also choose to mod the Android OS's security settings so that they are entirely locked down.

This just doesn't make sense to me. Summary: The Innioasis G1 MP3 Player is certainly a capable MP3 Player for the price. That being said, in comparison to the cost of the TIMMKOO Q5 and the Luoran MP4 MP3 Players, I was hopeful that the increase cost of the G1 MP3 Player would equate to a significantly better user experience. Unfortunately I don't believe this is the case. While the G1 does have upgrades from a hardware, app sofware and OS standpoint, none of these upgrades dramatically change the user experience compared to the Q5 and M4 MP3 Players at least to me. Moreover I'm concerned about the security and future functionality issues that could arise when using some of the apps Innioasis decided to add to the G1 MP3 Player. Because none of the G1's apps can be updated by the user and some require an internet connection to download sound files I'm concerned at some point their functionality could be hampered if app updates are necessary.

In regards to app side loading or updating the good news is that for the same cost of the G1, Luoran will soon be coming out with a "M4 Pro" upgraded variant very soon suppossedly by the end of June which will have the same amount of RAM and storage as the Innioasis G1 MP3 player but will also allow for third party APK app install by the user. To me this is a significant improvement over the G1 MP3 Player and it's the reason I'll be returning the G1 and taking the M4 Pro for a spin when it's released. EDIT - in the end I decided to purchase a Samsung Galaxy Mini S5 to use as a MP3 Player.

It's a little larger than this unit 4. Yes, I realize that it's a phone and not strictly a MP3 player but it can easily be locked so no additonal apps can be loaded on it if you want to restrict content it for kids use. The first one I purchased worked for about half an hour. Worked GREAT, it was fabulous. The entire purpose of this purchase was to have a wifi capable mp3 player with spotify, got exactly that. However, after a half an hour it died. The battery didn't die, the player did. It won't boot up, resetting it doesn't fix it, it just gets stuck in the boot cycle over and over and over Totally OK, stuff happens right? So, had Amazon replace it, 2nd one came no problem, first one sent back. Won't power on fully, just stuck in the boot cycle and resetting does nothing.

This is going back for a full refund. The company found out there was a bad batch and is currently working to rectify the problem. Will change my review accordingly after we see if we can rectify this. While the player worked it was perfect, so if it really was just a bad batch then this is totally fixable. It's still working great, no issues. The other two died after a few hours, so I don't currently have any reason to believe this will stop working. As long as the company truly does get rid of all those bad batch items, this is a very good product. This player is smaller than my phone, heavier than my phone and the volume does not increase to a high enough level. The battery lasts less than 8 hours but it plays fine.

It was difficult connecting to Spotify. I was unable to log in by connecting through Facebook but I was able to log in by manually inputting the email and password. Immediately downloads music when connected to internet if trying to use in offline mode. Setting up the Bluetooth took a while as well due to the device not wanting to find the wireless earbuds. I was able to troubleshoot the issues and have yet to have any others. However the other one stopped working the next day so I got a replacement along with an email from the company saying it had bad parts. The replacement worked great for about 1 week and literally 1 hour it was fine and the next broke. Amazon wouldn't do another replacement so I had to return it. I wish the company stopped sending the MP3s with the bad parts because I really wanted this one to work. The battery life isn't the best but it's unfair to compare it with a cellphone. I do wish it had a sleep timer so your music could shut off EDIT: found it in the Hiby app.

It's definitely a gamble to buy because you don't know which one you'll get. I feel awful for my one child that keeps getting the one that needs replaced. Bought this as we don't let our 14 YO have a smart phone, however we still wanted him to be able to access Amazon music. Did not like that it came with Facebook and twitter, however apps are easy enough to remove. The Chrome app also was not updating and because there is not a Google Play app you aren't able to force the apps to update. Had to remove Chrome as well as it was causing issues with the music apps. For the purpose we bought it for its perfect! My son now is able to download his favorite playlists when offline and has access to more music than he did previously!

If it could be updated to include a way to update the apps i would give it 5 stars. The player works fine and had the capacity I needed. My last player would only allow songs even though it allows a large enough SD card to hold many more. This one allows an even larger SD card and all my music so far. Attention pour info si jamais vous devez désinstaller une application du lecteur vous ne pourrez pas forcément la remettre dessus même par l'intermédiaire de apkpure et il faudra procéder à un reset d'usine de l'appareil pour pouvoir récupérer toutes les applications d'origines!

Attention système d'exploitation Android 8 et non évolutif de plus la mise à jour de sécurité commence à dater un peu et pas d'évolution possible également donc en terme de protection c'est très limite il faudra s'en contenter essentiellement pour les applications de musiques pour le reste à vos risques et périls!!!!! Pour le son plutôt sympa et assez équilibré mais attention loin de la qualité d'écoute d'un baladeur audiophile en ce qui concerne la charge de la batterie c'est très rapide grâce au port type c moins d'une heure et tant mieux car de ce côté là les informations données sont trompeuses avec son au maxi et écran allumé je dirais 3 à 5h d'autonomie dans le meilleur des cas autre point en charge rapide le lecteur chauffe énormément il faudra privilégier une charge lente par USB pour prolonger la durée de vie de la batterie à mon avis, je rajoute un petit point le baladeur chauffe également beaucoup en usage Bluetooth nous n'avons pas ce problème avec un casque filaire!

Attention à la luminosité de l'écran même avec le curseur réglé au maximum cela reste limite autant en intérieur c'est acceptable par contre en extérieur selon la luminosité c'est à peine lisible mais bon c'est certainement voulu économie de la batterie oblige! Pour résumer pour celui qui souhaite trouver un appareil qui prenne en charge les principaux services de musiques sans devoir utiliser son smartphone ou pour un enfant l'offre est cohérente pour un prix de 89€ car au niveau de la concurrence il n'y a rien à moins de € pour les mêmes fonctions mais avec un son de meilleur qualité sinon un téléphone dans cette gamme de prix fera largement l'affaire et aura l'avantage de ne pas avoir ce problème de restrictions en ce qui concerne l'installation d'autres applications. Moi je suis convaincu malgré tout de la pertinence de cette offre pour ce baladeur MP3.

It was only when I sat down to return it that it occurred to me that the problem might be the generic SD card I'd bought to bump up the capacity. I couldn't give 5 stars because a it seems to lose wifi and not recover the connection b the charge appears to be less than I like and c the volume may be limited. Facebook and Twitter work well and with the built in chrome browser you can open YouTube links and articles in posts with just a click and fast, I find the sound quality good although I had to tweek it to my own preference, the inbuilt MP3 player has one of the earphones of a slightly lower volume but not so much to upset, the volume of the MP3 player app is not as loud as I would like but adequate. The compact onscreen keyboard is pretty accurate and I can answer posts on Facebook and Twitter with ease while listening to music.
